Zander got his chance to meet his teacher (for the second or third time) today. Mrs. Cushing, his preschool teacher, opted out of the mass back to school night and instead allowed the kids and their parents to come in one at a time so the little ones could get a feel for the room with the comfort of their parents standing right next to them. Not that Zander needed it. He was so excited to strap on his backpack and start school like a big boy!
He walked in like he owned the place. He happily followed Mrs. Cushing while she took his picture and then set out to play with the kitchen.
And never left. There were trucks and trains, art stations, music stations, and just about everything else you could imagine but he wanted nothing to do with any of it. He was happy as a clam baking me some cookies.
He doesn’t start school until next week, but he asks almost everyday if today is the day he gets to go to school. I just hope he is this excited about it once he realizes what school actually is!
