The boys were very excited about the present the good elf Merton brought with him from the North Pole. Of course Nick had to do the first day, which left Zander in tears. His logic was that Nick got to do the first day of the paper chain when we were counting down the days to Disney World so he should get to do the first day of this. My logic was that Zander had no interest in Merton or the letter (which Nick read all by himself) therefore Nick got first dibs on the Lego calendar.

Here was him trying to understand my logic. He didn’t. The fit continued for awhile.
