While he was gone I took our boys and Sam's daughter (his wife was busy getting their van's flat tire fixed) to the hotel's water park. Yeah, that was an experience. Thankfully, they were all good and just as they were ready to bail the reinforcements arrived!
After a morning of fun (for the kids at least) we headed to the mall for lunch. The guys were starving and the kids were antsy and tired, but we made it through and even got to see Santa before packing it in and heading back to the hotel. Nick surprised me by walking right up to Santa, giving him a hug and telling him what he wanted for Christmas (Legos, games and puzzles). Zander wanted nothing to do with him. The best part -- the camera wasn't set up yet so they encouraged family members to take pictures. Wish I would have had my better camera, but the point and shoot will have to do.

After Santa we headed back to the hotel for some much-needed naps. Zander slept in the car and then refused to sleep in the bed. Nick finally dozed off about 4:00 -- the worst time of day for a nap. And of course, as soon as everyone was up it was back in the pool. The boys were so happy to have Mike back because that meant they got to go down the water slides!
